This week in class, we learned about Harry Truman making the difficult decision to drop the atomic bomb on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. On Tuesday, students were asked to analyze the decision from the point of view of a trusted adviser to the president and debate it with their colleagues. On Wednesday, students were given a writing prompt based on Truman's decision. I've attached a PowerPoint presentation over Tuesday's activity as well as the prompt for Wednesday.
