On Thursday of this week, we will analyze the policies of both nominees during the campaign of 1932. The Republican nominee was Herbert Hoover and the Democratic nominee was Franklin D. Roosevelt. I've attached a PowerPoint presentation (credit: Wayzata Public Schools, Wayzata, MN) and a analysis handout with excerpts from campaign speeches of both candidates. Also, students will be asked to construct a campaign speech for one of the two candidates. The guidelines for the speech can be found in the PowerPoint presentation attached below.
